Welcome to the VCCA – Alonzo Davis Fellowship on-line art sale and exhibit. This sale and upcoming exhibition at the Sande Webster Gallery in Philadelphia is being held to support the Alonzo Davis Fellowship Fund. The VCCA is an international working retreat for writers, visual artists and composers. The Alonzo Davis Fellowship was established to endow two 2-week residencies at the VCCA for American artists of Latino or African descent. Purchase art.
Thirty-one VCCA artists were selected by Jurors Alonzo Davis, Pinkney Herbert and Kay Lindsey to participate in this benefit sale that will culminate with an exhibition at the Sande Webster Gallery in Philadelphia opening July 10 and continuing through August 29th, 2009. We wish to thank all of the artists who submitted artwork for the VCCA visual artists exhibition in support of the Alonzo Davis Fellowship at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts.
Special thanks to the VCCA staff, especially Amy Allen and Carol O’Brien and board members Patricia Kermes and Pinkney Herbert and Fellow Kay Lindsey.
